Follow Friday #3

Q. Name 3 authors that you would love to sit down and spend an hour or a meal with just talking about either their books or get advice on writing from?

Wow Three authors!?!  I have a few in mind but really when I think to sit down with them, me being shy, I kinda go blank at what would I ask them.  I am sometimes not good at the talking thing.  I guess if I were to pick it would be an author of the genre I like to write most (children's) so I would say Neil Gaiman, Rick Riordan, and J.K. Rowling.  I think I picked the three hardest to probably get in contact with. lol

Well, I do have a few favorite authors I can think of right off the top of my head, Barbara Delinsky, Jodi Thomas, Kristin Hannah, Debbie Macomber...opps that is four, and I was about to add a few more.. Each has their own style of writing, and right now I am reading an author for the first time and I am loving his book, he is David Baldacci, and the book is a fun summer read, "One Summer." I understand he usually writes Suspense/Thriller books, which is why I've never read him before, but this one is more on the Chick-lit genre.

I chose Neil Gaiman as well. Do you read his blog? It's great, very witty and insightful. He's not afraid to share details of his life with his readers.

Have a great weekend!

I'm with you on the shy thing. Let's have a nice twitter conversation instead of face to face.

Rick Riordan! Awesome choice! I'd love to meet him. Supposedly he lives somewhere in Texas. Perhaps I'll bump into him at once point or another. It's not THAT big a state, right? LoL! Awesome choices and have a great weekend! You can see who I chose at Fuzzy.Coffee.Books!

Hi. Happy Belated FF from a new follower. Interesting choices. I just started reading Neil Gaiman's 'American Gods' last week and I love it. Am suprised that more people haven't mentioned him (you're the first I've seen so far).
