What is it About?

Mathilda is grieving the death of her older sister. She is growing up with a curiosity due to teenage hormones.   She is a strange girl with parents who are dealing with there own grief.

My Thoughts:

Being an usual girl, Mathilda, doesn’t have anyone who understands her like her deceased sister did. Now that she is gone Matilda does not believe she died the way the police said she did.  So she tries to reveal the mystery of her sister’s death.  Her parents are in their own world and her friends just think she is eccentric.

Mathilda is a really different character than most teenagers or people for that matter.  The story is dark and as usual as the girl that stars in it.   I liked it even though I am not fond of book that is dark through most of the book.  This was different and I would have loved to see a sequel as Mathilda grown up.
