Theme Thursday - Female Character - Sissy

Theme Thursdays

Theme Thursdays is a fun weekly event that will be open from one thursday to the next. Anyone can participate in it. The rules are simple:
  • A theme will be posted each week (on Thursday's)
  • Select a conversation/snippet/sentence from the current book you are reading
  • Mention the author and the title of the book along with your post
  • It is important that the theme is conveyed in the sentence (you don't necessarily need to have the word)
Ex: If the theme is KISS; your sentence can have "They kissed so gently" or "Their lips touched each other" or "The smooch was so passionate"

We are back again this week with theme’s that are going to follow a larger category. This week’s theme is ……..

Description of a woman/girl…

My THURSDAY THEME for FEMALE PERSON (Description of a woman/girl) is below. Most of us should get this in the very first chapter…

"...Sissy on the other hand, had no great claim to beauty. Just ordinary.  Everything about her was ordinary. Except her, charm, her smile and those mutant caste marks.  And her prophecies."

Thanks for visiting my blog! I think Marley and Me is going to be a very good and endearing book :). I like your Theme Thursday meme...good quote from book about the female character.

Thanks for visiting! I'm now returning the follow. :) "Caste marks" sounds like an intriguing trait. Nice pick!

Great snippet - she doesn't sound at all ordinary.

I love your snippet. She's ordinary except for this and this, oh and this :)

If there are so many exceptions she surely is not ordinary ... I am curious to know more.
