Refer A Book Weekend 8/19/09!

Congrats to this weeks winner who is gaby317 who said...I recommend The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind: Creating Currents of Electricity and Hope by William Kamkwamba.

The book is based on a true story of a young boy from Malawi,at a time that people believed in magic and had little understanding of science. His area was withered by drought. William had read about windmills and dreamed of building one. William persisted...

And Thank you to
Llehn who said...I would like to recommend The Noticer by Andy Andrews which blends fiction, allegory and inspiration with a dash of autobiography. A mysterious man named Jones shows up in Orange Beach, Alabama, a simple town populated with people with their share of problems: marriages teetering on the brink of divorce, young adults giving up on life, business people on the verge of bankruptcy. Jones brings about the gift of perspective into their lives, noticing things that others miss and imparting it to the town's people. It is inspiring how a different view on things can bring about such a dramatic change in lives.

Review can be found at:http://www.amazon.com/Noticer-Sometimes-person-little-perspective/dp/0785229213/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1250393550&sr=8-1
Both of the books seems inspirational I picked the Boy Who Harnessed the Wind over The Noticer because the Noticer sounded like a movie i had watched called Mumford. Which was an okay movie. So I decide for The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind because it sounded like nothing I had read before.

If it's still available, I'd like to pick Breaking Dawn by Stephanie Meyer as my prize. Thank you so much!
