gautami tripathy of Reading Room tagged me for this:
Here are the rules:
1. Write about 5 specific ways blogging has affected you, either positively or negatively.
2. link back to the person who tagged you (and leave a comment on his/her blog after you do the tag)
3. link back to this parent post
4. tag a few friends or five, or none at all (and inform them about it)
5. post these rules— or just have fun breaking them
Okay Wow five things!
1).Maybe I should start with why I started blogging. I started as kinda of way of therapy from my depression. I got tired of making arts and craft things because I wasn't feeling anything good while doing them. I have always been obsessed with books and I was told maybe writing about them would be a good way to get that "Yay me" feeling of accomplishment when I finished a book. So I also thought there might be people out there who would like to hear about some of the books I have read.
2). I just started blogging on books maybe a few months and it is the first thing in a long time that I have done constantly, everyday (except maybe three days) and that makes me feel good because I always feel like I start something and never keep with it. And so far *knock on wood* I think I have done I think a pretty good job. :-D
3). I have learned that blogging on other blogs is hard work because you want to give that happy feeling to someone else when you comment(and you would like traffic ;->). I know every comment I get makes me smile which you guys don't know how much I need sometimes. Lately I have been a little down that why most posts have been late stuff but writing this and remembering why I do this does help. So thanks to who ever started and gautami tripathy for tagging me.
4.)I will agree that blogging does eat up reading time and that is a bad and sometimes restful thing. lol
5). A funny thing about blogging. Maybe this just happens when you are starting out and you first start to talk to people but for maybe one second or longer you are famous to someone. I'll explain... after while with all the book sites (maybe this goes for other blogging sites too) you start to find the bloggers you comment to or get comments from. Like you could go to goodreads.com and find people you recognize. And for that one second or more you go "Hey I know her/him!" I don't know about you but I think that is pretty cool. Except for when people look at my pic they probably go "Ewww look at her" which I am thinking of changing.
Now the tagging bit:
I read so much how some don't like to be tagged so I am not going to really tag anyone. Except for those who have not done this meme. When you read it if you have blog you ...Yeah I mean you, have to do it. ;-P
If you do do the meme leave a comment if you don't leave a comment Shannon's smile quota is low.

True, blogging eats up reading time, but it also eats up TV time!
I agree with number four. I blog more than I read, which was never the intent. Then, as vices go, my wife is happy this is my only one.
"...kinda of way of therapy from my depression."
I'm manic and blogging really helps to ground me during the highs and lows.
