An event hosted by Reading Between the Pages.
Theme Thursdays is a fun weekly event that will be open from one thursday to the next. Anyone can participate in it. The rules are simple:
- A theme will be posted each week (on Thursday’s)
- Select a conversation/snippet/sentence from the current book you are reading
- Mention the author and the title of the book along with your post
- It is important that the theme is conveyed in the sentence (you don’t necessarily need to have the word)
Ex: If the theme is KISS; your sentence can have “They kissed so gently” or “Their lips touched each other” or “The smooch was so passionate”
This week’s theme is
ANY ACTION (go, walk, close, clap etc)
My THURSDAY THEME for ANY ACTION is here."However ugly she thinks she can make herself, a seventeen-year-old is beautiful and young. Mr. Billiers found her deliciously rude. Across the dinner table he flirted casually. from page 72 of The Paper Garden by Molly Peacock

That is a cute action word, who doesn't flirt once in awhile.

What a fascinating quote! It makes me think of a mischievous and much lighter-hearted D.H. Lawrence!
That was interesting! Feel free to check out my first Theme Thursday here.

I've read some good reviews of The Paper Garden but have had no luck finding it here.
