What is it About?
A little boy contemplates why children need mothers at all and finds out why they are so special
My Thoughts:
As I first started this book something in me thought I was going to dislike it. I knew the book had been made into an extended movie and that thought made me groan a little because I knew the movie did not do as well. As I continued to read the story the disgruntled boy who dislikes his mother and doesn’t understand why he needs one. I did not realize how powerful this story is until you get to the end. The end of the book makes all the difference to the story.
I was moved by the end and I think this is a must have picture book for kids to read with mothers. Especially on Mother’s Day!
