Musing Monday April 25th - Family Influences

This week’s musing asks…
Do the members of your family read? Do you think it was passed down to you? ((or, if you want you can answer this: Who do you think influenced you as a reader?))

I am the older of two and I am the big reader.  Mom and Dad had more time to read aloud to me as a child.  Not saying they didn't try with my brother who is younger I just remember it being me who read to him more often then not.  He wasn't big on regular books though.
My mom reads when she can now... my father is a sometimes reader and my dad's father was a big reader.  That was probably the first library I was to come across was my grandfathers books although he passed soon after I was born.

Thanks for your visit to My Reading Corner.

I was the youngest of eight children, so my sisters read to me, I think my mom was to busy to read to me. I can't remember when I didn't love reading. Although in High School it was a struggle to get my required reading done, I was to busy having fun at other things.

My brother is 8 years younger than me, but he was never much of a reader. It seems like I'm the only one in my family that loved reading. Even my husband isn't into reading.

I am the younger of two..and we are both big readers.
since I was reading...and loving it...before I was in school, I think it came from my mother more than anyone else.

It must be nice to have readers in one's family to discuss books with. Thank you for stopping by.

My sisters are all older and they took turns reading to me, but it's my Mom I remember reading to me the most.

Thanks for visiting my Musing!
