Asks : CAN you judge a book by its cover?

I don't think you can judge an actually book by it's cover.   Certainly you can pick one out because of it's cover.  I don't know if I would judge it....and say that book looks like it sucks...but I might say that book doesn't look up my is that judging really or just weeding out what you like.   Geez...maybe you can judge a book by it's cover...?  What are your thoughts?

i totally count choosing weather to read a book or not as judging it by it's cover. i do it all the time and have found many good books that way.

The book's cover plays a role in our choices...but it sounds like everyone uses the first impression as just one aspect of choice.

Good point ... I think you are right ... it's more like weeding out your choices instead of judging the book initially.

The cover is what first attracts me, but it can be misleading, so you can't judge a book's content by its cover. My BTT:

Sometimes the cover helps, but I never choose on that alone.

I've picked up some books because of their covers, but the cover might be misleading. So I agree that it's more like initial weeding.

The cover is what makes you pick up the book in the first place, hopefully the content is there.

stop and see mine and my giveaways.

I think I am in the minority but a book cover really plays little part in whether or not I read a book. The cover does not make a book good or bad it's all up to the story itself.

I agree with you, I'll pick up a book if I like the cover but IS that judging a book by its cover? Here;s mine.
