Hi Shannon,

Looks like you got your server woes fixed for now!

This week I'd like to recommend The Christmas Book: How to Have the Best Christmas Ever by Juliana Foster. I'll have my review up on Saturday morning at http://janelsjumble.blogspot.com .

Hi Shannon...
I couldn't find a list of books that you have read so I have a suggestion...an oldie but a goodie...
Faerie Tale by Raymond E. Feist (one of my favourite books ever)

from wikipaedia:
Plot introduction

Phil Hastings and his family have just moved back to his hometown for some much needed peace and quiet from the Hollywood scene. As Phil's twins, Sean and Patrick, soon discover, there is more to their new home than was expected. Gloria, their mother, senses something, but simply dismisses her concern as stress from their recent move. Gabbie, their older half-sister, meets the man of her dreams, but also is tempted by other men. Deep in the woods, The Bad Thing and his Master are ready to break free of the centuries old Compact made to keep the Faerie world and the Human world at peace. Only through believing the insane and impossible can they save both worlds from colliding again.

I'd suggest What I Saw and How I Lied by Judy Blundell, winner of the National Book Award for Literature for Young People. (The awards were announced this Wed!)

I'm entering for my friend =] She recommends the Watchmen (which just arrived in the mail today! yay!). She loves the book and even gave me some numbers to boost up the excitement. She said that it was rated as one of the best 100 novels by Time Magazine, and you have to admit that being a graphic novel and all, it must be really good to do that.

The movie is going to come out soon and she's dying to watch it! Here's the link to the trailer that my friend gave me =)

If you like mystery/thrillers then I'd recommend The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson. One book that I really loved and not a lot of people know is Legally Correct Fairy Tales by David Fisher. I love fairy tale retelling and law, so this one was a great read. Plus it's only a little over 100 pages, so it's a relatively quick read.

Thanks

If you are interested in picture books, try Watchers by W. Lyon Martin. It's about faeries.

This week I would like to recommend a children's book. My son helped me review The Dragon's Child by Jenny Nimmo, and it was one that he really loved.

If by some chance I win, I would love Paper Towns.
