All of the books everyone picked I have not read before but I went with Becky's pick The Book Thief by Markus Zusak. I have seen many reviews and good things about the book. Now this doesn't mean that any of the other recommendations I wouldn't read. In truth I want to put them all on my list just not yet.

Shannon, I've heard super things about The Book Thief too.
I'm glad to know the audio of it is worth the listen.
This might be my next Audible purchase. I think I have a new credit to be used up.
Oh, The Book Thief is fantastic - and the audio version is *great*! Allan Corduner's voice is perfect for Death, and man-oh-man is it good. Had me crying into my Christmas cookie batter while I listened.
