84, Charing Cross Road, by Helene Hanff

Okay, so I don't technically have a review of this book yet. I read it before I started blogging, but it's delightful, and one of my favorite books of all time.

It's a short little collection of letters written back and forth between Helene Hanff, a writer in New York, and a bookseller in London. Seriously, you must read this book. In fact, I've convinced myself to reread it this weekend and post a review.

My recommendation is Steinbeck's Ghost which is releasing soon--September I believe. The author is Lewis Buzbee.

This is late but I would recommend Love and Biology by Jenny Shortridge. Its about a wife/mother who goes off to find herself.

I'm going to recommend Gossamer by Lois Lowry. I read this book with the Brain Candy group. I adored the book.

The book made me realize my imagination isn't on the job. I mean Lois Lowry really as a fantastic imagination.

Anyway, I dream every night. I have wonderful dreams, soso dreams and dreams so awful I wake up sweaty. Thank God, I'm not a person who has the same dream twice.

Lois Lowry took me to the place where dreams begin. I met the little people who are my dream makers or dream weavers. The part about the "fragments" really choked me up. It's so beautiful to think that bits and pieces, bric a brac from my home are taken to piece together my dreams. I love it!

Yes, I recommend "Gossamer." You might not think you care about the little people who manufacture our dreams, but Lois Lowry wakes up your curiosity. You'll never be the same person again. I loved this book.
