Shannon’s Thoughts:

Little Boe the Barbarian starts out not so great. He wants to fight like the other Barbarians but he is so small and not so strong. The chief kicks him out of the fight party and sends him home. Boe trys to find what he is best at.

Boe The Great has a message that anyone can stand by. Boe learns what he is good at by trying different things and not giving up even though he is kicked out by the chief.

Even though the message is smart there are some issues with the flow of the story. Sometimes it rhymes and then sometimes it does not when you want it to. It makes reading it out loud awkward through some of it.

I could actually see this as a series. Boe is cute and has traits that kids could relate to.

This looks like a great book for the kiddos.
