Teaser Tuesday - The Professor Was A Thief

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

The Professor Was a Thief (Stories from the Golden Age) "Don't," she begged.  "Don't do that, Henry. Please don't do that. Anything you say, Henry. Anything. But don't pop off like that anymore."The Professor Was a Thief (Stories from the Golden Age) by L.Ron Hubbard

Great teaser! I haven't read any of Hubbard's books in years. Have you read the battlefield Earth series? (it's definitely better than the movie)

Pop off ... does it means he disappears or just escapes his surroundings... fingers crossed on this one for you. Hope you enjoy it :)

Interesting that she is willing to give anything for him not to "pop off" any more. I imagine it is him leaving, but still in any context that is a lot to promise to not have it happen again. I wonder if that had been his plan, or what his response would be? Very interesting.

thanks for stopping by.
